Are You Pushing Hard Enough To Make Progress?

Let’s Talk More About Muscle Fatigue And It’s Importance! It’s Nothing To Be Afraid Of, It’s Something To Strive For!

Muscle fatigue, also known as muscle failure, is when you are performing an exercise and your body has recruited every single muscle fiber it can – and as hard as you try, you can’t move that weight safely anymore.

One big thing to remember is this… Your mind will fail before your body does. So it’s important to distinguish between the 2 and that takes both practice and perfecting your form 1st!

This concept goes hand in hand with progressive overload. Remember when I taught you that in order to reach your goals you have to make small adjustments to keep your workouts challenging?

Things like more weight, reps, sets or even increasing the range of motion? Well, this is the other important factor.

Most people get in a rut with their weight training – they do the same exercises, with the same weight for the same amount of reps.

One other crucial component is pushing close to muscle fatigue.

There are 3 types of muscle fatigue. Failure on form, failure on the concentric (or positive) and failure on the eccentric (or negative).

Since safety is an important part of the Kailon Method,
I want you to know it’s ok to stop before hitting full out muscle fatigue.

Consistency and progress far outweigh the possibility of injury, so I want you to push yourself responsibly.

What I do want you to focus on is making sure you really feel the muscle burn and by the time you’re done it feels like you really worked that muscle hard!

The reason I do not give specific reps on exercises is because my 12 isn’t your 12- and it takes time to know what weight is best for your fitness level and current strength.
If you have more in your tank, I want you to do more!

Remember you most likely don’t have a spotter, so going to full blown muscle fatigue isn’t safe and it is not necessary to see gains!

By learning proper form first, then following my planned progression you will begin to feel more confident in your ability to push yourself over time.

Just another tool in your workout toolkit to make sure you see progress!

Boost Your Energy And Mood NOW!

How Strength Training Boosts Your Energy Levels and Overall Mood…

We all want to feel good. Because when we feel good, we get more done, we have a zest for life, we’re more motivated, we smile more, and we radiate positivity.

So how do we go about feeling good?

Well one way is by working out! It all starts with understanding endorphins and how weightlifting activates our “feel good” hormones.

Endorphins trigger positive feelings in the body. And not only do they make you feel good, but endorphins are also the body’s natural painkillers.

They’re released by the hypothalamus and pituitary gland in response to pain or stress, which both relieves pain and creates a general feeling of well-being.

So how’s that, a double whammy, it delivers good feelings as well as relieves pain.

For example, the feeling that follows a workout is often described as “euphoric.” It’s that feeling that most of us know as a “training high.”

Strength training releases neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin – which elicit feelings of happiness! It’s been proven that this can last up to 12 hours after a 30-45 minute workout session.

12 HOURS OF HAPPY! Yes, Please!

So seriously, if there were no other reason to workout, this would be enough. And once you get into your weekly routines, you’re going to get addicted to feeling good, the right way!

Your workouts become both a new habit and a new routine that leads to confidence, empowerment and knowing you are capable of anything you set your mind to! All kinds of good feelings will be coming your way!

Maybe you’re saying to yourself, “but I’m just too stressed out to even think about starting a strength training program right now.” Well, your workouts can also help in regulating stress hormones such as cortisol, reducing the effects of anxiety.

By lifting weights, you can elevate your mood! Working out even when you don’t feel like it will most certainly give you a boost of energy! It will help you stay motivated for the rest of the day and help you get more done!

Sticking to your plan and executing it feels really good, AND That feeling of accomplishment becomes exciting, and in turn we want more!

Had a stressful day at work? Try picking up a set of free weights after work or at lunch.

So when life seems overwhelming, consider strength training as a solution.

And that’s part of the excitement of joining me in my Kailon Method Program.

Reduce Joint Pain And Limitations By Gaining Strength

Here’s Some Ways To Strengthen The Muscles Around Your Joints…

There are many reasons we can end up having joint pain. It can be injury related, age related, arthritis, or even the wear and tear of too much cardio like running.

Keeping our joints and connective tissue safe for as long as possible is key in having an active life.

Sometimes the thought of starting a new program can seem scary especially if you have knee or back pain –

But the important thing to remember is by strengthening the muscles that surround your joints, you can keep them safe and functioning pain free and enjoy your life even more!

So it’s our job to be both pro-active and think about our joints now, AND know how to modify to strengthen areas that are weak and/or painful so we can reverse further deterioration.

Intelligent strength training corrects muscular imbalances & leads us to becoming pain-free and protects our bodies overall.

For example, having a stronger core, hamstrings, and glutes takes the load off your lower back during lifting anything off the floor or out of the car, decreasing your risk of lower-back injuries.

And since muscular strength and function helps absorb the forces that can impact joints, strength training is the #1 way to protect your joints from excessive wear and tear.

Regular strength training promotes good muscle function and may, over time, prevent osteoarthritis.

As we age, we typically exercise less, so muscle dysfunction becomes more prominent, and overall weakness and imbalance increases.

In addition, a cycle begins as the joint starts to wear down, the ability to exercise is then diminished, and the muscles weaken even faster. This causes any kind of impact (even walking) to worsen the affected areas at a much quicker rate.

And this is the very reason why building strength now is so important. We need to keep our bodies in the best shape we can to ward off those eventual declines in function and deterioration.

My Slow-Intensity lifting method is specifically designed to SAFELY build both your large and supportive muscles without the risk of overloading joints unnecessarily and putting stress on them.

By removing the momentum out of repetitions, we remove any high-forces from the joints and connective tissues, thereby making you strong where you need it while protecting the joints.

My goal has always been to teach exercises that work the muscles without stressing the joints…

To show modifications so everyone can enjoy increased strength and pain free movements…

To demonstrate mind-muscle connections in order to get in tune with your body…

And I always want you to get great feedback from your body that you did something awesome for it when you’re done working out!

Let me show you how my Slow-Intensity training will safely propel you into a strong body capable of doing all kinds of fun and enjoyable activities!!!

Where Has All My Energy Gone?

What Happens To Our Energy And Stamina When We Aren’t Being Consistently Active?

Stamina… What exactly is it?

Well stamina is both the energy and strength it takes to do prolonged effort that requires mental and/or physical exertion.

Having stamina also reduces the effects of fatigue and exhaustion by keeping your energy levels naturally high.

Think back to when you could go on no sleep, pull all-nighters, drink coffee with no repercussions, work long days, study, and workout for hours with no enhancements.

Do you still have that level of stamina? If you do, awesome, keep doing what you’re doing – AND join my advanced fitness level program as will challenge even the most fit person.

BUT, if you feel like you maybe… just maybe… have a little less energy than you used to, than listen up.

Stamina is essentially the ability to maintain high energy levels for long periods of time and be resistant to fatigue, adversities, and illness.

Now that sems like something everyone would want, but what are we doing to assure we’re making that happen?

It starts with consistency. Consistency is key!

In order for you to have a continuous state of available energy, you need to make sure you are fueling and utilizing your body in a manner that supports your life.

That looks different for everyone, so if you’re training for a marathon, your daily activities are going to look a lot different than someone who is looking to complete a 5-mile beach walk with their family, or someone who wants to feel more energized when walking the golf course.

But what is common among everyone is how we can get there. My Kailon Method program is designed specifically to build over time.

I didn’t just throw together a program of random workouts, I designing a program consisting of 52+ weeks of exercises that will get you a place of continuous gains and ultimate vitality.

You will NOT be completely exhausting your body during workouts leaving you with no energy for the day. You will NOT be overworking a part of your body so much that it’s sore for a week.

Each workout and every exercise during the week compliment each other.

Each workout builds on the one before, so you won’t be doing things that are way too advanced for where you’re at.

You WILL work your entire body while working on creating muscular balance throughout your body as well.

You WILL get a great workout and feel energized, not exhausted so you’re ready to take on the rest of your day!

This program is about slowly and progressively building workouts that will support and increase your stamina over time!

When you build your lower body muscles, you’re better able to propel yourself farther with every step you take while walking or running.

As your strength increases, so does your stamina which means the things you do every day will become better and easier.

You will notice your muscles become more resistant to fatigue. Strength training promotes capillarisation, which specifically improves the flow of energy and a better supply to the muscles to increase performance.

Strength training also help regulate glycogen and enzyme levels.

Your newly added muscle also helps absorb the impact that would otherwise put stress on your joints, which is great news for anyone with pain, arthritis or any kind of joint injury!

And that way we can do the things we love, longer and easier, without risk of joint damage!
This is one of those things that will pay off huge in the long run!

So if you’re feeling more and more sluggish these days, it’s time to kickstart your vitality and bring yourself back to life!

Strength Training really is the Fountain of Youth!
