LET’S GO OVER WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT
YOU’LL NEED FOR ALL THE DIFFERENT PROGRAMS.

 

IN THE GYM

If you’ll be working out at the gym, there isn’t anything you’ll have to take with you, except your phone with the workouts cued up and ready to go! All of our gym workouts use the equipment that’s already there. I will teach you how to set up and use all the machines like the leg press, chest press, lat pulldown and cable machines. You will also be using dumbbells, barbells and a bench, so again, all of those things are already there and there’s no additional equipment you’ll have to take with you!

AT HOME

DUMBBELLS

If you’ll be working out at home, you’ll want to have a few different sizes of dumbbells or even something like adjustable dumbbells. We will be working the whole body, so for muscles like the legs, they require heavier weights than you’ll need for exercises such as bicep curls and shoulder presses. So, if you’ll be doing something like a weighted squat, you’ll want to have hold heavier weights than if you’re about to do a lateral shoulder raise. Having some variation will be helpful when deciding which to use for different exercises.

SMALL LOOP BANDS

That goes for bands as well. We will be using a small loop band for around your legs for things like lateral band walks and glute pulses. They come in different resistances so start light and build your way up! I have used both plastic bands and material bands, and what I have personally found is the bands made out of a softer material don’t tend to roll up my leg as much.

LONG RESISTANT BANDS

Long resistance bands are used for exercises like seated back rows, bicep curls and glute kickbacks. Some have handles and some are just a long loop band, and either can be used for this program.

MAT

A mat is always useful to have on the floor as well. The thin mats can be harder on your knees if you’re on a cement or wood floor, but the thicker mats tend to stretch out when you’re on them. Most people like between 1/8” and 3/4” thickness.

BENCH

And then lastly a bench, chair, couch or ottoman is very helpful. They will be utilized for both balance and incorporated into exercises such as step ups, elevated hip thrusters and concentration curls.
